  i have listened to segments of the hearing.. i am really impressed with the way the rc are well informed about jw procedure and the 'flock book'.. does anyone know how the rc got so clued up?

  are they just that good at what they do?

  (not saying they're not).. have 'mentally diseased apostates(tm)' been of use to the rc?.

  i have first hand knowledge that geoffrey jackson of the governing body is staying with his parents in toowoomba, queensland for the next few weeks.

  he has already been in australia for a couple of weeks.

  That was also my thought! Maybe they have some "apostates" in their research team. The commissions work is relly impressive.

  That expert witness really made a fool of herself..........she had only studied official JW litterature....

  man at jehovah's witness facility died of natural causes.

  does it not seem really, really strange that he would not have been missed all day saturday and sunday?

  the ancient jews did not believe in an after-life as far as i can tell, correct me if i'm wrong.

  the watchtower says yes.

  they say all the prophets believed in a paradise earth..

  Probably from Egyptian and Greek/hellenistic religion.

  The jewish society imported a lot of teachings......like Elysion, Hades and TArtaros and made their own interpretation of it.

  This probably happened centuries before Jesus.

  hi folks... i was playing a tiny online ipad multiplayer war game last night and one started a dialogue with a another player i was attacking.

  in it he quoted a scripture.. and it turns out he he is a 25 year serving jw.

  possibly an elder... well.. i spent 6 hours tapping away with one finger in the chat box until 8am this morning with him about all the issues on sex abuse, the money grab and most importantly the subject of jesus turning his attention to the earth and selecting the then bibles students as his one and only people based on what they were teaching (spiritual food) back then.. he knows nothing about any of the current and historic child sex abuse cases (never heard of candice conti etc) and even less about the insane early teachings or russell etc.. i completely blew his mind in our 6 hour text chat not to mention my index finger nearly falling off!.

  just saw a facebook post from an acquaintance who just went to the international convention in dallas, tx.

  according to his post, there were approximately 50,000 in attendance on sunday, with 468 baptized.

  there were an additional 9 conventions tied to this one, with an attendance of approximately 100,000 and 609 baptisms total, including dallas.

  a witness friend wanted to meet up recently and talk.

  since this person was a close friend and who i thought had a level head, i'd go ahead and speak with him.

  our conversation actually helped me figure a few things out not only for myself but also about the witnesses.. so we're talking and i'm telling him my experience and the doctrines that i disagreed with as well as the scandals that made me disgusted with the organization.

  This is the cognitive dissonance working......why should he listen to you..you cannot promise him eternal life petting lions and pandas. You are only trying to destroy his hope for the future......fact could be devastating for his well-being and psychological health. So he will deny everytheng that provokes anxciety.

  the july 15, 2015 study watchtower article entitled "your deliverance is getting near", along with the jw broadcasting video entitled "gerrit losch: fortified by "the prophetic word," and chapter 21 of the god's kingdom rules!

  book presented a large amount of new light or clarified understanding of the events of the great tribulation.. here i am presenting it in chronological order -- this is the governing body's updated chronological order of events for the time right before the great tribulation through armageddon:.

  the final sealing of the anointed occurs just prior to the outbreak of the tribulation.

  2. There is 'new light' ideas in the footnote of the mag. The rapturing anointed will leave their bodies on earth (unlike the heavenly bound Christ with his re-generated corps) and like in Jesus case, the angels will dispose of them. new light: no cremation, burial for the then GB.   This indicates that the GB will abandon ship......and commit group suicide. I wonder if the GB really believes this.

  interestingly, jws in norway actually do invite people to attend convention in stockholm, even from the city of bod, some 1176 km away (driving distance 14 h 30 m away).. .
